Elfab has engaged U Training to deliver a new Business Improvement Training course, which started on 9 January. Over the next 12 weeks, the trainees will learn about ways of improving efficiency on the shopfloor to better serve our customers and satisfy their requirements. The course covers areas such as safety, quality, 5s, Team Improvement Boards, layered auditing and Standard Operating Procedures. As well as contributing to business improvements, trainees on the course will gain an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Business Improvement Techniques (BIT).
”In the first session, the trainees used a simulated assembly line to manufacture and test miniature 'motorbikes & sidecars' as a practical way of learning about 'TAKT time´: how fast or slow production needs to be based on the customers´ demands.
